I’ve mentioned before how much I LOVE Cabot Cheese, so I’m excited to team up with them once more. My friends and I are big fans of this fondue restaurant we frequent during happy hour, where the cheese is the highlight for me. I’ve been eager to try making cheese fondue at home, and this was the perfect opportunity. However, I must admit, I’ve made this Beer Cheese Fondue recipe about five times before finally sharing it with you.
I’ve even enjoyed it solo for dinner—it’s that delicious! Be sure to use Cabot Seriously Sharp Cheddar Cheese for the best results. Prepping the veggies is simple: just use whatever you like and what’s in season for a slightly different taste each time. Start by grating the cheddar cheese.
Now comes the best part: making the beer cheese fondue! Begin by adding garlic and beer to your fondue pot. Wait for it to bubble, which indicates it’s hot enough for melting the cheese. Then add the Seriously Sharp Cheddar Cheese to the pot—notice how the beer bubbles? I couldn’t resist capturing another shot of the cheesy goodness!
It’s almost ready! Add some spices. Initially, it may seem thin, so keep whisking until you achieve the perfect fondue consistency. I like to add soy sauce for a touch of umami flavor.
I’m doing a happy dance just imagining you making this for your family and friends during the holidays. They’ll love it! I’ll definitely be making this beer cheese fondue for our holiday party this year! If you’re interested, here’s another cheddar fondue you might want to try.
